Happy #baturday and #ScienceEveryday.
Yesterday when I posted a bat x-ray image from the Wellcome Trust 2014 image competition, I linked to a microCT image of a bat skull that I had posted a while ago. I mentioned that I might have more of that bat. It turns out that the nice bat skull image was just the skull, but I did find a microCT that I did of a whole dead bat.
From yesterday:
Holy x-ray, Batman

Knut Torgersen hopefully this will entertain you for a minute.
Heh, fascinating how the teeth come out in a different colour. Fascinating!
Lacerant Plainer This is the main post. Interesting, this.
Knut Torgersen the skull was from a game that I learned on the SoG+ community.

Very nice – love that concept for learning science! Well done, my friend!
Thanks Knut Torgersen. I need to think of another image for #ISeeTheWorldWithScience
Yes, you do 😉
They are fascinating 🙂 We did have a bat infestation in a place we used to stay once. I woke up and saw one in Gita Jaisinghani’s hand. She was still asleep.
I’m sure Gita Jaisinghani enjoyed that.
Hah! I screamed like a
little girlbanshee! Fun times 😀There a jellyfish and sea pansies in my latest post Gita Jaisinghani. I hope they don’t make you scream.
Not if they’re sitting in my hand when I’m asleep, Chad Haney!!
We had a bat in our apartment once. Fun! The little critter was seriously afraid.
Knut Torgersen – the bat and I could’ve had a scaredy-cat contest, methinks!
My grandmother and I caught ours and set it free 🙂
We chased ours outta the window 🙂
Pretty like human construction
